TGA2019 “Game of the Year” 受賞作品発表！「SEKIRO」が最優秀賞を獲得

TGA2019 Game of the Yearが発表！

「The Game Awards」が開催する2019年Game of the Yearが発表されました。
GOTYでは、毎年優れたタイトルを決めるショーとなっており、ノミネート作品から各部門賞及び大賞が発表されます。
公式サイトではネット投票も実施され、世界中のゲームユーザーの一票から賞が決定します。
というわけで、今年の受賞作品を発表していきます。

TGA2019 GOTYまとめ

今年の大賞を見事勝ち取ったのはフロムソフト製「SEKIRO」でした！
ダクソ系の流れを汲むタイトルは昨今人気であり、更に海外で流行りの和風・侍要素を取りいれたタイトル。
TGAの主催者は小島監督と親しいので、デスストが無双するのでは…と思いましたが、意外にも公平なジャッジとなり何よりでした。
ゲームは今やワールドワイドなので、その流行をピンポイントで突いたフロムソフトはお見事と言えます！

またGOTY恒例ですが、発売が年末のタイトルがやはり強さを見せていました。
「Control」「Death Stranding」「ルイージマンション3」など、後期タイトルが奮戦。
やはり受賞前には印象に残りやすいですし、今年の上半期のビッグタイトルがズタボロだったのも影響してそうです。

個人的には、「The Outer Worlds」か「Borderlands3」が来るかと思いましたが、流れはダクソ系だったようです。
上記2タイトル共かなりの力作であり、特にThe Outer Worldsは小規模スタジオとは思えないほどの完成度だったので、１部門ぐらいノミネートしてほしかったと思います。

10月末に発売されたPCゲーム「Disco Elysium」が奮戦していたのが意外でした。
Disco Elysiumはテーブルトーク風のRPGで、インディタイトルでありながら、独特なグラフィックとボリュームたっぷりな内容が魅力。
PC版の日本語版がないので日本ではあまり注目されていなかったタイトルでしたが、恐らく今後日本語化パッチが作られるのではと思いますし、CS機にも移植されるのではと見ています。

国産ゲーの復活・洋ゲーの衰退

また、近年のGOTYの流れを見るに、国産ゲームが復活しているのが伺えます。
2017年GOTYの「ゼルダの伝説 ブレス オブ ザ ワイルド」あたりから風向きが変わったように思います。
逆に近年は洋ゲー…主にAAA級で看板となっていたメーカー・シリーズタイトルがズタボロで通用しなくなってきており、より高い質を安心して遊べる国産タイトルは強いと思いました。
「マリオシリーズ」「ゼルダシリーズ」という全年齢タイトルから、「SEKIRO」「バイオハザードRE:2」「デビルメイクライ5」「Death Stranding」など大人向けタイトルまで高い質で遊べるゲームが揃っています。
CS機の主力ハードが”Nintendo Switch”であるのも強さの１つで、今や任天堂の天下と言えるでしょう。
生き残った洋ゲーの主力タイトルもスイッチ版に移植されているので、強さはより増していくのではと思います。

TGA2019のGOTYは終わりましたが、まだまだGOTYは行われます。
